Angus cattle were introduced to Australia in the 1820s and then to the United States in 1873. Making a solid impression on Aussie farmers, Angus cattle were soon seen as the breed of choice for maximum production and high-quality beef.

Today, the breed is found in every Australian state and territory, with over 60,000 registered calves per year.
