How does nutrition impact sale bulls?

May 27, 2022

Check out this lush mix of tillage radish, chicory and ryegrass that our bull calves will enjoy at Tarawera, Jandowie. They will rotationally graze this feed until March 2023.

This is an extremely important part of our program as they are getting nutritional requirements met during their peak growth periods and to establish their genetic potential.

After March 2023, the bulls will come back closer to home and be divided into two main groups, Private Treaty and Sale Bulls but it doesn't stop there... They will then go onto Leukena paddocks sown with pastures throughout Autumn and Winter and fattened on oats.

Nutritional value plays an impeccable part in establishing our sale bulls. It impacts their genetic potential, confirmation, internal health, overall appearance and so much more. #foodisfuel
